Q: Do I need a referral to see Dr Schulze?

A: Yes, a referral from your General Practitioner is required.

 

Q: Will my medical records be kept private and confidential?

A: The contents of your medical file will not be released without your signed consent. Your medical records are handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. Sunshine Vascular upholds strict confidentiality requirements regarding your medical records.

 

Q: Is payment required at the time of consultation?

A: Yes payment is required at the time of consultation. If your details are registered with Medicare the refund will be deposited directly into your bank account.

 

Q: Is there a “Gap “payment if I require surgery?

A: This may depend on your health fund and your level of cover, there is usually a gap payment that is required to be paid prior to your surgery.

 

Q: Do Medicare or my health fund cover sclerotherapy?

A:The procedure of sclerotherapy for spider veins is considered cosmetic and not covered by either Medicare or Private Health Insurance funds.

Small varicose veins if injected by Dr Schulze are claimable through Medicare.

 

Q: Can I use a referral to a different radiology firm for my ultrasound at Sunshine Vascular?

A: Yes, any referral is accepted at different radiology practices.
