Sunshine Vascular is a long-established specialised vascular service on the Sunshine Coast offering complete diagnostic services, treatment and management of arterial and venous disease and varicose veins by staff specifically trained in this speciality.
Practice Philosophy
Sunshine Vascular provides the highest quality specialised service in the field of vascular surgery and treatment of varicose veins. The team at Sunshine Vascular – consisting of a Vascular Surgeon (Dr Karl Schulze), specialised vascular sonographers, a practice nurse and support personnel, work together to ensure a high standard of health care dedicated to supporting patients and referring General Practitioners in the management of vascular disease and varicose veins.
Practice Background
Dr Karl Schulze established his Vascular Surgical Practice on the Sunshine Coast in 1998, originally in Nambour. He relocated to Buderim Hospital in 2000 and established the King St Specialists in the current location in 2004.
Sunshine Vascular Imaging was established in 2000 to provide a specialised diagnostic ultrasound service for vascular disease.

Dr Karl Schulze

Dr Karl Schulze completed his Medical degree from Monash University, Melbourne in 1986, has been a fellow of The Royal Australian College of Surgeons since 1993 and was awarded his Fellowship of Vascular Surgery in 1998. Dr Schulze completed his Diploma of Medical Ultrasound in 2001.

Dr Schulze operates at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in Buderim. Dr Schulze’s services are available to both privately insured and non-insured patients.
Dr Schulze specializes in the latest techniques in varicose vein surgery, arterial stenting and grafting, including laparoscopic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair.
